Natural landscapes: flowing through the forest

VERMILLION RIVER, KOOTENAY NATIONAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

The mid-day light was harsh, but using a polarizing filter helped bring out the attractive colours in this scene in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I also used a neutral density (darkening) filter to ensure a long enough exposure to turn the foreground ‘surf’ into a silky highlight.
